The Langvir Nritya is a famous dance form of the state of Uttarakhand. It is mainly performed in the Tehri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.
This is a form of acrobatic dance and is mainly performed by only men. In this type of dance, a long bamboo pole is fixed at one place and the dancer climbs to the top of the pole and then balances himself on his stomach on top.
The bands of musicians play under the pole; they mainly play Dhol and Damana. This form of dance is very popular in the Tehri Garhwal region of the state.
