Created in 1947 by Mayum Choying Wangmo Dorji, Bhutanese national flag was modified to take its present form in 1956.
Banking Hours: There are no ATMs in Bhutan. Banking hours from Monday to Friday are from 9 AM to 1 PM. On Saturday, the banking hours are restricted to 9 AM to 11 AM. There are some 'evening banks' in Thimphu and Phuentsholing that are open from 1 PM to 3 PM on Monday, closed on Tuesday and open from 1 PM to 5 PM on Wednesday and Sunday.
